Haroon Khan also known as Haroon Iqbal[1][2] is a British boxer of Pakistani origin. He has chosen to represent Pakistan.[3]
Haroon Shahid Iqbal Khan is 20 years old and the younger brother of WBA and IBF World Light Welterweight Champion, Amir Khan. He is also the first cousin of English cricketer, Sajid Mahmood.
Khan, an amateur boxer, fights in the flyweight (52kg) class. He represented Pakistan at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. In the qualification round he defeated Tanzanian boxer Sunday Elias with a blow to the head in the third round.[4] After beating Welshman, Andrew Selby, in the quarter finals Khan was guaranteed a medal.[5] He won the first Bronze medal for Pakistan in the Delhi Commonwealth Games after being defeated by boxer Suranjoy Mayengbam Singh of India.
